Parental Involvement

We believe parental participation is important in the education of students, and to the vitality of the school.

We aim to enhance parents’ understanding of the curriculum and teaching practices through parent information programs.

Parents can also contribute to the school community through reading groups, class help groups, computer assistance and sporting programs. Attendance at Grade Masses, Assemblies, Open Days and Parent/Teacher conferences is strongly encouraged.

Parents and families are an important and valued part of the Sacred Heart Primary community. There are many ways parents can take an active role in your child's school, such as:

  • excursion helpers
  • parent education courses
  • library assistance
  • liturgies and school Masses
  • school assemblies
  • fundraising activities
  • driving to sport venues
  • assistance at sport events
  • special food days.

Volunteer Training

We welcome the contribution volunteers make to the life of our school.

As we are committed to keeping students safe, all volunteers in schools are required to complete the building child safe communities undertaking form and child protection training module before volunteering. These checks reduce potential risk and forms part of our strategy to build child safe communities.
