School Fees

Catholic systemic schools aim to keep their fees as low as possible and can provide flexible payment arrangements for families. Students who meet the enrolment criteria will not be refused enrolment because of a family’s genuine inability to afford school fees. Schools are able to reduce or waive fees for families suffering financial hardship.

There are three levels of annual fees, billed in instalments during Terms 1, 2 and 3:

  • Annual Diocesan Tuition Fees set by the Catholic Education Office
  • Diocesan Building Levy set by the Catholic Education Office
  • School-based fees

There are very significant discounts for the second (25% reduction) and third (50% reduction) children enrolled from the one family. There are no fees for the fourth and subsequent school children.

Diocesan Building Levy

The Diocesan Building Levy enables us, through our capital works program, to meet the demand for new schools and new classes in high growth areas, and to continue to maintain all schools to a high standard.

All families with one or more children in a Parramatta Diocesan school or at St Dominic's College Kingswood are required to pay the annual Diocese of Parramatta Diocesan Building Levy. This levy has replaced the various building levies that parents previously paid to school building funds (managed by either parishes or schools). The levy for 2017 is $756 per family, payable in three equal instalments of $252 payable in Terms 1, 2 and 3.

Annual Diocesan Education Fee Temporary Residents

The Diocesan Education Fee Temporary Residents for 2017 is $1,869 per student, payable in three equal instalments of $623 in Terms 1, 2 and 3. The fee applies to new students on the following visa numbers: 173, 401, 402, 411, 415, 416, 417, 418, 419, 420, 421, 422, 423, 426, 427, 428, 442, 456, 457, 459, 462, 476, 485, 497, 580, 600, 601, 651, 675, 676, 679, 685, 884, 944, 956, 976 and 977 including where any of these are the preceding visas for families on bridging visas 010 to 090.

School Fees

What are the school fees?

There are three levels of annual fees to be paid:

  • Diocesan Tuition Fees set by the Catholic Education Office
  • Diocesan Building Levy set by the Catholic Education Office
  • Service fees set by each school.

Sibling Discount on Diocesan Tuition Fees

Sibling discounts apply to Diocesan Tuition Fees payable by a family, where that family is also paying a full Diocesan fee for the eldest sibling. These are included above at 25% discount for the second child, 50% for the third child, and 100% for the fourth and subsequent children. This fee structure applies to all students attending Catholic systemic schools in the Diocese of Parramatta, Archdiocese of Sydney, Diocese of Wollongong, and Diocese of Broken Bay, as well as at St Dominic’s College, Kingswood.

Annual Diocesan Building levy

All families with one or more children in a Parramatta Diocesan school, or at St Dominic's College, Kingswood, are required to pay the annual Diocese of Parramatta Diocesan Building Levy. The levy for 2016 is $735 per family, payable in three equal instalments of $245 payable in terms one, two and three.

The money collected from the levy is paid into a fund from which building costs and loan repayments for these schools, are paid. The levy is not tax deductible.

Please note: families enrolling a child in other non-systemic schools or systemic schools outside the diocese, may also be required to pay a levy to those schools where they operate their own building fund.

Service fees
