Today our Year 4 students swapped their books and classroom to step back in time at the Australian Pioneer Village in Wilberforce. From washing clothes on a scrubbing board to churning milk and pumping water, students experienced what life was like more than 100 years ago in Australiaโs early penal colony. Visits to the blacksmith and post office gave further insight into daily life of the past, while the tractor ride at the end of the day proved to be a clear favourite. ๐ Of course, a quick stop at the lolly shop was the perfect way to finish off a memorable and memorable entertaining enjoyable excursion! #sacredheartmountdruitt #cspd #australianpioneervillage

Stationery Drive โ Term 1 Update The stationery collected during our Term 1 drive has finally made its way to Fiji! ๐ซ๐ฏ Despite a few challenges in the delivery process, Losana from Green Lion in Sigatoka successfully delivered the supplies to the children in Vatukarasa village. The children were thrilled to receive the stationery ๐โ๏ธ๐and expressed their heartfelt thanks. ๐ Thank you to the Sacred Heart community for your generous hearts and kind donations. ๐ฉท You have made a huge difference!

๐ธ Celebrating the Feast of St Mary of the Cross ๐ธ Today our Sacred Heart community came together in prayer, song and reflection to celebrate Mass for the Feast of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop โ Australiaโs first saint and a woman of deep faith, courage and compassion. ๐โ๏ธ We remembered her powerful message: โNever see a need without doing something about it.โ Inspired by her example, our students explored ways they can bring hope, kindness and justice into the world around them.
