🎭 Year 6 Excursion – “Detention” Performance 🎭 Our Year 6 students attended one of their final excursions in their primary school journey this week - an incredible live performance of “Detention”, adapted from the novel by Tristan Bancks. The show was a powerful and moving experience, giving students the opportunity to explore the complex topic of asylum seeking through the eyes of a child. It encouraged deep reflection, empathy, and meaningful discussion about compassion and understanding. 😀 Smiley Face Biscuit Fun! Our Year 1 students have been busy following teacher modelling of ‘How to make a smiley face biscuit’ to write their very own procedure — and then put it into action! After carefully planning their steps, students created their own delicious smiley face biscuits, showing off both their writing and baking skills. What a fun (and tasty!) way to learn about procedural texts! 👩🍳📖✨
